The Ghanaian songstress whose voice is always a thriller performed at the new Cape Coast Stadium at the special request of President John Mahama.
Rebecca Acheampong, popularly known on showbiz as Becca’s presence at the commissioning of the New Cape Coast Stadium by the president added much colour to the grand occasion.
Her performance preceded the President’s Address and the official opening of the stadium.
Appearing in a bright yellow hugging gown with a matching head gear, Becca mounted the stage to entertain thousands of audience who converged at the ultra-modern 16,000 capacity stadium.
With her numerous favorite songs, including the hit song “Hwe dea odo aye mi”, which was a special request from Mr President, Becca thrilled the entire Cape Coast neighbourhood that remarkable evening.
Mahama who was in the company of some dignitaries including the Minister of Youths and Sports, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Ekow Spio Garbrah, Central Regional Minister, Mr. Kweku Riketts Hagan, traditionalists, the clergy and members of the Diplomatic Corps were well entertained by her performance.
Other popular musicians that performed at the event were Bisa KDei, VVIP and Praye.
To entertain guests further, a friendly match was played between Ghana’s U20 team and China’s U19. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
