John Dumelo Turns Down Post of Operations Director for ‘Agenda for Mahama’


Although he remains an enthusiastic activist of the party, John Dumelo refuses offer to be appointed Operations Director of an NDC group

Ghanaian actor, John Kofi Dumelo, popularly known to be a vibrant NDC loyalist has turned down an offer to be appointed Operations Director for Agenda For Mahama, a pro-NDC youth group.

Even though he still proclaims burning loyalty for the party, Dumelo refuses offer to be appointed Operations Director of the NDC group.

Earlier reports had it that the actor has already been given the post. This the sources say was disclosed in a statement issued in Accra and signed by the group’s convener, Kofi Adzivor.

However, ameyawdebrah has refuted such claims, saying that John Dumelo never accepted the offer. According to him, Dumelo sent him a Whatsapp message in which he declined the offer, while admitting it was made to him.

Agenda For Mahama focuses on campaigning for John Dramani Mahama mainly at the grass-root level to propagate achievements of the NDC administration. It is also the groups’s aim to ensure the party’s flag bearer secures a one touch victory in the November 7, election.

Other members who have been recognized and appointed to various positions include Human Rights Lawyer, Francis Xavier Sosu, who is to take charge of legal affairs. US-based Dr Lawrence Appiah is to handle international affairs of the group. Grace Addey and Selina Hayibor are the Women and Deputy Women Organisers, respectively.

A French media practitioner Le Roi Chambas is to take charge of the welfare of the group. Special Assistant to Mr Dumelo, Wilberforce Senyo Kporku, was given an Organiser position.

Media Practitioner Mauricia Adaabre Agana and China-based educationist, Nelson Mawuli Gbadagba are to take care of activities of the group in Northern and Southern Sectors of Ghana. NDC’s Communication Officer for Ayawaso West Wougon Constituency, Elliot Wogbe, has also been asked by patrons of the group to lead as Propaganda Secretary.

With recent developments, its certain the National democratic Congress (NDC) is preparing seriously for the imminent elections. The party has just unveiled her 2016 elections campaign team which will soon be launched in the Ashanti region. Reports also have it that the party’s manifesto will soon be launched too.
