To show their burning love and followership, Sarkoholics presented Sarkodie drawings of his dear mother and that of his new baby, Adalyn.
Sarkodie is one of the few Ghanaian artists with an amazingly stalwart fan base, especially in his home nation Ghana. Either the SarkNation as he calls them or a group of individuals known as the Sarkoholics, it is quite clear the love amongst them is alive and burning.
On Saturday April 30 2016, Sarkoholics in the Ashanti Region flooded the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where the 2016 edition of the X-Men Tour was held. The ceremony featured the multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie and founder of UT Bank, Kofi Amoabeng.
The “X-Men Tour” is a Vodafone Ghana initiative, powered by EcoHouse and partnered by UT Bank. According to organisers of the event, the X-Men programme is an initiative that seeks to tell and highlight the business and success stories of distinguished personalities in Ghana with the youth and young aspiring business people.
The two therefore, shared their leadership and success stories with the undergraduates and fans who filled the University’s Great Hall to the brim.
Speaking at the event, Sarkodie disclosed that just like any other artiste in Ghana, he goes through a lot of problems. But the difference is that he doesn’t complain and most importantly, he tries to make out something good out of those problems.
As the event progressed, Sarkodie was honoured by SarkNation when they presented to him portrait drawings of his mum as well as that of his new baby girl, Adalyn whom Sarkodie fondly calls Titi.
News on the birth of Sarkodie’s daughter has been making waves on the media platforms recently. She was born in the US about a month ago. Sarkodie on April 27 confirmed media reports on the birth of the baby girl with a new single ‘The Way I Feel’ in which he expressed his deep feelings about her and his baby mama, Tracy. He has also received several congratulatory messages from top personalities in the entertainment industry both on the birth of his first child and on the song.
