The music icon during a press interaction on Thursday, expressed his displeasure over the disrespecting comments made by the self acclaimed dancehall king. Addressing Shatta’s comments, the TN records boss said he does not fall in the category of people he regarded as not-smart. He explained he has been busy with business, and is hoping to get back to the desired level.

He stressed that the ‘Kakai’ hit maker has been in the habit of picking on fellow artistes without provocation. He emphasized that, that attitude of his does not make him smart; “smart people don’t do what he’s doing”, he pointed out.

The ‘Kangaroo’ hit maker however, did not hesitate to acknowledge Shatta’s contributions to the music industry, good music and creativity. Disassociating the recent development from his appreciation of Shatta’s works, he said:

“I personally like his music and what he’s doing as an artiste. It makes it fun and it keeps the industry going.”

He however, stressed that picking on artistes who have also made their contributions to the industry, does not tell well of him. Giving Shatta a piece of advice, he urged him to respect himself as well as the dignity and hustle of other artistes.

He also advised the SM gad not to comment unnecessarily during interviews to avoid drama. He told Shatta that he owes no one any responsibility to answer all interview questions, and that he has the right to skip questions during interviews.

Shatta mentioned Ex Doe, Tic Tac, K.K. Fosu and Kokoveli as artistes who were not smart when they started out. As we can see, his comments didn’t go down well with the music icon. In the same interview, Shatta had also said that the Black Stars Captain, Asamoah Gyan is not using his real age.
