During his visit to his palace, the Agona Chief said that Nana Addo will get positive answers from the gods this time around since he has exhibited so much faith and patience.

Chief of Agona Kwanyako has made a very sensitive prediction in favour of the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo. The Chief during Nana Addo’s visit to his palace on June 16, said he is confident that he will win the elections this time around.

The NPP flagbearear during his five-day campaign tour of the Central Region, visited Agona Kwanyako as well as other places, and interacted with the residents. He also made a courtesy call at the palace of Chief Nana Ampim Darko V. During his visit to the palace, the Agona Chief said that Nana Addo will get positive answers from the gods this time around since he has exhibited so much faith and patience. According to Chief Nana Ampim Darko V, Nana Addo’s third visit is a good sign. The Chief said this with regards to a Ghanaian tradition that,

“One has to go before the gods three times before a request can be granted. When you appear before the gods continuously for the third time, they will not fail you because in the initial stages they were trying your patience.”



“This is your third visit to Kwayako, and I am very certain that we will all hear good news this year,” he added.

The Chief equally called for peaceful elections come November. He urged presidential candidates not to disrespect one another all in the name of campaigning for the elections. He called on them to use decent language in addressing their opponents.

Nana Addo thanked the Agona Chief for his words of encouragement, and assured him that the NPP will not do anything that will bring about chaos during this period. He told the Chief and people of Agona Kwanyako that the NPP is coming into office to serve the people of Ghana.
