Finally, Ayariga’s APC Party Gets Provisional Certificate

And finally, Ayariga gets his long awaited provisional certificate from the Electoral Commission EC for his new party, All People’s Congress (APC). Ayariga who was a former member of the People’s National Convention, PNC broke away from the party after he lost to Edward Mahama, to form his own. He was the 2012 presidential candidate for the PNC, before he left. According to him, his reason for leaving the party earlier had been that he was not treated fairly during the congress.

Ayariga’s  APC, according to him, is the answer to the problems of Ghanaians. He said his party is for those who are stressed out with the saga, of which he believes fall under the majority.

It is not that Ghana has failed because some bad people are leading us. Ghana has failed because the good ones are quiet and that is why we are suffering. And this time around, we are telling the good ones, wherever you are, come on board. If you are tired of voting, come on board, lets change the wind of change. Lets make sure everybody gets a platform and the opportunity to serve mother Ghana” he said, speaking to the press.

Ayariga is convinced his APC party would make a positive difference in government. It was rumoured earlier this year that the party had been registered by the EC to operate as a full fledged political party, but the EC dismissed those rumours. Hassan Ayariga’s had feared his APC may not be able to contest in the November 7 elections because as at then, according to the EC, he had not met all requirements for a final certificate.

However, at the moment, APC has thirty working days to be issued with a final certificate in order to operate as a full fledged political party. Ayariga and his team assure they would meet up with the time frame.
