Bawumia donates GhC50,000 to his Alma Mater, acclaiming as it one of the best second cycle schools in the world…
Vice Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has made a cash donation of GhC50, 000 to the Tamale Senior High School where he had his secondary education. This donation was made in support of the school as she celebrates her 65th anniversary.
The money is meant for renovating the old assembly hall in the school. We can still recall that not long ago, the NPP VP candidate donated the sum of GhC15, ooo for the renovation of Weimah house where he was once the house prefect.
Bawumia also donated some sporting equipment to the school’s sports department. He further promised to buy an ambulance for the school on the final day of the celebrations which will be on Saturday, the 15th of October.
Speaking at the event, Dr Bawumia expressed his appreciation to the teachers of Tamale SHS for contributing to making him successful in life. He also urged every old student of the school to be proud of their alma mater. To the students of the school, Bawumia encouraged them to see Tamale High as a turning point in their educational career.
The Head Teacher of the school in turn, thanked Mahamudu Bawumia, commending him as a personality that is worthy of emulation. He also appealed to all other old students of the school to also show love to the school. Speaking further, he called on the stuidents to shun all forms of social vices and take their studies seriously.
