Christian Atsu wins Man of the Match as a result of his promising displays on the right hand side of attack – he was in fact, at his very best during the clash. Atsu caused troubles for the Cranes, as he made several scoring attempts on the pitch. The on loan Chelsea player was denied a goal when he had his left-footed strike saved by Uganda goalkeeper Danis Onyango at the 86th minute of the game.

Having embarrassed the Cranes with several goal-scoring opportunities,  he was named the Total Man of the Match by CAF Technical Committee for his total influence in the game. Ghana’s next match will be Mali on Saturday January 21, at the Stade Port Gentil.
