Presidential candidate of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has urged Ghanaians to vote for him instead of the candidates of the two prominent parties in the country. According to Dr Nduom, if unemployment is really one of the biggest challenges facing them, he is the person they need now.
Dr Nduom stated that he is fully equipped with all the necessary skills to lift the country from the quagmire of unemployment in which it is currently plunged. Buttressing his point, Nduom pointed out that every leader is blessed with a unique characteristics. He further explained that he is better equipped as an economist to tackle the menace of job creation than both the NDC and NPP presidential candidates. His words:
As I stand here today Ghanaians say their main problem in this year’s election is jobs. If it is jobs you want why vote for a lawyer, if it is jobs you need why vote for a communicator who can’t provide you jobs but promises?
Paa Kwesi Nduom made this statements while addressing party supporters during the campaign launch of Charles Kofi Yawson, the PPP parliamentary candidate for Gomoa West Constituency.
Continuing, Nduom stressed that he is uniquely blessed with the talent of providing people with jobs. He stated that even as an individual, without the state’s support, he has been able to create innumerable employment opportunities for the people of Ghana; come to think of when he will be backed by state finances.
I am not going to stand here to promise factory in every district because I have businesses already in each district throughout Ghana. I am also not going to promise one million jobs, but you standing here know I am already employing Ghanaians with my own money, imagine what I can do with the state’s finances, when I have all of the states resources backing me? He questioned.
The Tufuhene of Gomoa Eshiem, Nana Asam who welcomed Dr Nduom to the area urged the people to vote massively for the PPP seeing they are well organized. Citing the GN Bank as a reference point, the Tufuhene said that he has very strong belief that the PPP presidential candidate has the ability to transform the country if voted into power.
Charles Kofi Yawson, the PPP parliamentary candidate on his own part, also urged the people to vote him come the elections, to enable him bring in the desired transformations in the constituency. He specifically promised to set up poultry farms that will also help to curb unemployment which is rife in the Gomoa West constituency.
