Ghana Meets Naija UK: How It Went Down


Ghana Meets Naija UK -It was a night of thrill and excitement as artists dazzled the elated crowd with massive electrifying performances.

The concert, which was held at the 02 Arena, London, brought together artists from Ghana and Nigeria in a friendly show off which attracted over 5,000 Ghanaian and Nigerian music fans in the UK and other African nationals.

While Ghana was strongly represented by dancehall acts Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, among others, Nigeria was also represented, although Nigerian Afro-dancehall act Burna Boy failed to turn up despite being put on the bill by the organizers.

Ghana Meets Naija UK also saw more stimulating performances by Abrantee (UK), Akwaaba (UK), Alordia Promotions (UK), Desire Events (UK) and West Coast Entertainment (UK),

The best performances, though, were left for Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale who thrilled the over 5,000 fans with their back-to-back hit tracks.

Ghana Meets Naija was awarded ‘Best Event’ at the Ghana Nightlife Awards in the years 2012 and 2013. The Pan-African event has also received other awards like Best Musical Concert in Ghana per the DSTV Africa TV Magazine show “Star Gist”.
