Ghanaians Will Do The Ultimate Reshuffle Come November – Bawumia

The presidential running mate of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mahamudu Bawumia has once again made a nonsense of the incumbent Mahama led administration. This he did by saying that the just concluded cabinet reshuffle by the president is never aimed at improving the nation, but at winning the upcoming elections. Bawumia revealed this in one of his Facebook posts which reads:

…The ongoing reshuffle appears to be one to do with winning an election rather than one aimed at addressing the challenges faced by Ghanaians.” In this regard, I am convinced that the ongoing reshuffle by the president is meaningless. Thankfully, the ultimate reshuffle will be done on November 7th by the people of Ghana.”

As effected by the reshuffle, a defector from the People’s National Convention (PNC), Abdallah Abubakari replaced the Northern Regional Minister. This move is reportedly believed to be an attempt to appeal to the Mamprusi community.

According to Bawumia, ministerial reshuffles is quite usual in governments, but it is not what Ghanaians need at the moment. He further explained that considering the current economic situation, Ghanaians would prefer a reshuffle of their hardships. This includes “unprecedented joblessness and the astronomic increases in taxes, utility prices and fuel” they are currently facing in the country.

Dr. Bawumia added that the changes would prove to be meaningless as the current NDC government would eventually be voted out of power in November.

We would recall that President Mahama released the outcome of the reshuffle a few days ago. A move that is supposed to improve the performance of the ministers and in turn, improve the livelihood of the citizens.
