Ghanaians Will Not Be Disappointed If I’m Elected – Akufo Addo

The Presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NNP), Nana Akufo Addo, says he will not disappoint the people of Ghana if he is appointed as the country’s President in the upcoming November polls.

Speaking at an election campaign organized by the party, in a gathering of chiefs and people of Anhwiaso in the Western Region, Addo stated that the solution to Ghana’s problem lies with his party. Therefore, he can only proffer that solution if given to chance to turn things around for the better in Ghana.

According to him, the NPP believes Ghana has all it takes to succeed and better the lives of its citizens, but the present governing party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), has not been able to achieve this aim and has instead led the country into dead ends.

Akufo Addo urged the people to stand by him especially now that the nation is facing a lot of challenges.

“I besiege (sic) you all to pray for me because the hardship that the country is about to face is unimaginable, but the NPP has the true solutions to these looming challenges. We have the solution to change the cause of the nation’s destiny and lift the masses out of misery.

We have the solution to put food on the table, create jobs and comfort for all Ghanaians. I want you to have faith in me and my vision for the nation and I want to promise you that God willing when I get the presidential nod I will not disappoint you,” he added.

The NPP campaign seems to push harder against the long-term stronghold of the NDC in Ghana. And even though the New Patriotic Party had some feud in the past, Addo’s words are an indication that the party members have settled their differences in order to achieve a common goal.
