Controversial HIV/AIDS ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah is back in the news but for positive reasons this time. The actress and musician who was criticized heavily for deceiving the public by saying she was not a carrier of the HIV/AIDS virus, has given birth to a bouncing baby boy.
Joyce Dzidzor reportedly gave birth in Germany and the baby was named at the Faith Evangelical Mission Worldwide Church, Bubuashie, Accra. The actress shared lovely pictures of her, her baby and her husband.
Joyce earlier was all over the news for the wrong reasons. Having been diagnosed of HIV Joyce was made the HIV/AIDS Ambassador by the AIDS Commission. She however after some years dropped the bombshell when she announced sometime last year that she never had the virus.
Of course her public assertion left the country in a state of confusion considering how credible her story had been. It had been hard to believe as the controversial ambassador had featured in lots of seminars, movies, documentaries and music propagating anti stigmatization of HIV victims and the likes.
Amid the storm however, she retracted her claims, and rendered an apology to the President and the people of Ghana for misleading them. The former HIV/AIDS ambassador revealed the reason behind her denying her status publicly to be the social stigma attached as well as concern for her children.
Well, She has bounced back with some good and exciting news. Sharing pictures of herself, husband and her new born baby, She wrote the following about the husband and shared this post:
“My husband Edmund I love you and I so much love our new baby . May God forever bless our union. Love you honey. Jehova God you took me to Germany while pregnant and brought me back to my family with a beautiful baby. Thank you Lord for a successful naming ceremony. I will forever be grateful for your unconditional love”
Congratulations to the couple.
