The Vice Presidential flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has refused to relent in his persuasion of the people to give his party the mandate to rule Ghana come the December polls.
Dr Bawumia made these statements while addressing the students of Assin-Fosu College of Education in the Central Region as part of his campaign tour in the region.
Dr Bawumia stated categorically that the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) does not have what it takes to properly utilise country’s resources in developing and transforming the lives of suffering Ghanaians. He emphasized that the current situation of the country’s economy was brought about by the ruling government’s mismanagement of resources and general incompetence.
Encouraging the students to vote for the NPP, Bawumia assured them that the country will work for everyone if they win. He indicated that the party will be quick in their restoration strategies; including the reinstatement of the trainee teachers’ allowances as well as the social intervention programmes established by the NPP under Former President John Kufuor.
The Veep hopeful promised that the NPP will meet with expectations and will never disappoint the people. He therefore urged the people to seize the opportunity of the coming elections to vote out the incompetent National Democratic Congress.
